In early July 2021, we had the pleasure to speak with the Year 12 girls at St Dominic’s Priory College. We talked to them about their financial decisions and how that will affect their financial future. This initiative is part of the Rise High Rookies program initiated by Marissa, where the objective is to encourage financial awareness and curiosity among our youth. This is important because there are financial consequences on the decisions we make everyday. Therefore, Rise High Rookies aim to prevent any decisions that may lead to lasting marks on your credit rating and lives.

Marissa speaking to the group

The Rise High Team of Marissa, Nani, Ly and Sean had a great time engaging with the group of students. Surprisingly, some of whom were already working and making financial goals for themselves! The girls listened intently to Marissa’s explanations, and also fielded question relating to personal finance, including one about cryptocurrency!

Watch the interview Marissa had with some of the girls and see how your school can benefit from the Rise High Rookies program!

We would like to thank St Dominic’s Priory College for the opportunity to engage in the Rise High Rookies session. Most importantly, special thanks to Year 12 Coordinator, Greg Larwood for his passion in educating students about their financial future!

If you would like to see this program at your school, get in touch with the Rise High team today. The Rise High Rookies program can cater to youths from Year 5 to 12. Financial literacy is extremely important at a young age because that’s when you gain the advantage.
