A little background
Our broker met these clients for the first time three years ago. They were looking to buy their first home, but they also had the desire to buy an investment property not too far down the track. We helped them to buy their first home and at the same time put a plan in place, so they understood what they needed to do with their home loan to get them into their second property sooner.
The couple were both working, very good savers who were very diligent with their repayments and sticking to the plan, so it was a little bit over two years before they were able to purchase their next property. It was such a great achievement for the couple to be able to buy two properties within three years.
The Process
Our broker assisted the clients in the process through education. She educated them around the loan structure as well as the repayments that they needed to make. By educating the clients about the extra repayments required, this meant they were able to build up equity in their home and that, combined with the growth of the property opened the door to more equity being able to be released which helped them secure the second property.
We helped our clients achieve their goal through coaching and touching base with them every year as we do with all our clients and making sure that they were still focused on their goal to buy a second property.
Our broker’s support went much further than just the loan application. When it came to the purchase of the second property our broker was able to give the clients advice on Ownership Structures and Depreciation and gather the client an A-Team including a great Accountant and Conveyancer.
Our broker was able to offer our clients a one-stop-shop that allowed them to come to us with any queries and if required we could refer them to someone that we could trust to look after them.
This is a great example of how we go above and beyond for our clients. We don’t just do a home loan application; we form a bond with our clients and create meaningful relationships that last for years.
